2.5 yrs ago, I was blinded ... I was never really involved in refurnishing a house until I got this job. Yep ... it's in the line of property and I've really learned a great deal from it. When browsing around, I stumbled upon this website and it reminded me on my first encounter with the world of curtains and blinds. Since then, I've never taken them for granted.
I was tasked to renovate a 4 bedroom apartments and oh boy ... one of the key important factor is to cover the windows with the right cover. For the first time in my life I need to be faced with the word, curtains, venetian blinds, roller blinds, etc .... Huah ... Overwhelmed.
And I also learned that there's a technique in measuring the right way before installing any curtains or blinds. It's the key factor for effective usage of cloth and ultimately, it fits in to your budget.
Covering up the window may appear to be an easy peasy task but actually it's not only a skill, it's an art. I hope you'll have fun when you encounter such adventure. It's an amazing learning experience.

When There Are Will and Passion ...
there'll always be ways ...
Speaking about determination and perseverance, nothing beats the following video so far. It's truly inspiring and ... towards the end it almost made my heart stopped. When the whole mediocre people are complaining on what they don't have (when they still can walk), here's this young man who see beyond on what he doesn't have and work it out as one of the most beautiful piece of art.
Hope he'll keep on dancing and one day may perform around the world.

What Makes You Feel Alive?
So ... what makes you feel really ALIVE?
I've asked a few people to give me one-word answer ... though some of them did ramble and their answer can easily fill up an A4 size paper ... but most of them are pretty interesting ...
What do I mean by being alive?
To me ... it brings you joy so much that even it only lasted for 10 seconds but that 10 seconds feels like a lifetime and you'll cherish it as long as your heart still beats.
My personal answer is I feel alive when I give. Giving makes me feel alive. Not during someone's birthday but when someone is not expecting and knowing that they appreciate
and grateful for what I've done ... that feeling feeds me like oxygen.
Some people say crying makes them feel alive ... some say drawing ... some say when they are inspired and ...
-.- oh my goodness ... i just got one answer that asked me to wait until tonight and I'll get the answer .... -.-
Anyway, one of the most profound answer I've got is when my friend said "breathing". And hence my nickname now says D.D. is breathing ... another friend of mine said it's inevitable that we are breathing but to me ... human has taken breathing for granted. It's the source of life and the first step to make you feel ALIVE.
Imagine at every breath that you take, you feel the joy and richness in life ... I don't need to wait till I give to make me feel "alive" I just need to breathe ... isn't that amazing and profound?
I'm not sure whether this friend of mine will ever read my blog but I wanna thank her for her profound answer though she may be crapping at that moment ... as she changed her answer in the end but to me it's the best answer I've ever heard and I'll remember it every time I breathe.

Yay .... my godmother (I wish) tops the chart for being generous and giving!!

Cellphone That Saves Lives
Have you heard of cellphone that saves lives?
I did. Through Sheryl Crow's advertisement below:
But, the real kick was when I watched Oprah and Bono went shopping. So, I got myself into shopping mode too and I remembered Sheryl Crow in the process and voila, MotoRAZR Red is mine now. :p
Oprah & Bono Went Shopping:
The (RED) Campaign was originated by Bono (U2) and Bobby Shriver. What a brilliant concept where people can spend and save at the same time. I'm so so sold. Together they have created the (RED) campaign that supports The Global Fund and up to date they have achieved the following in less than 4 years:
· 770,000 people with treatment for HIV and AIDS
· nearly 9 million people with voluntary HIV testing
· more than 1 million orphans with care and support
· 2 million people with treatment for tuberculosis
· more than 22 million people treated for malaria
· nearly 18 million families with insecticide-treated mosquito nets
So, after being so sold by Sheryl Crow & Oprah (who else...), I went to get my own MotoRAZR V3M RED to support this noble cause. Not that I need another phone. I've never fancied any other phone than Nokia. But, since it's my long time fetish to own a flip phone and since this flip phone will buy so many pills for the AIDS victims in Africa. Why not?
And on top of that, I have great friends who are supporting this cause in our own unique way. We get a new spoke person to promote the MotoRAZR RED and that is our beloved Doraemon (whom Miss Cooking Pot said the shape of his head is the same as the shape of his buttock -.-) and Doraemon is doing the same ad as Sheryl Crow (well, last part of it) and we are doing it in 4 different languages (except Japanese, unfortunately, none of us know how to translate that :p). So we started off with English, Bahasa Indonesia, Cantonese and finally Hok Kien.
Since we are amateurs, we did mistake for the first time round, here's our NG (No Good) shot due to Miss Cooking Pot who forgot her line -.-.

Special Appearances At Qian Hu
How did you spend your Labour's Day?
Well, I was still labouring in the morning by teaching tuition but in the afternoon, I went to a place I've never been before. It's called - QIAN HU! It's a fish farm and I was on the quest to hunt for my next toilet buddy with The Mushroom and The Cooking Pot. Yes ... another Beng and Lian's family member.
The place was awesome ... wanna see whom I met? Let's see hmmm ... there were some celebrities there, you know? I'll show you one of them first ....
So this is ... Jolie-look-a-like fish .. don't you think her lips are so kissable? :p ... WEKS! Unfortunately, it's injected by human :( ... not as natural as AJ's lips. HUAH.
Next, we have a Siamese Turtle. Yes! It has two heads. I'm not sure to call it turtle or turtles. -.-
Oh ya .... the white mini lobster ... isn't it cute?? I wonder whether he's albino or not. Hmm ....
Then finally, the new addition to my family ... to the left is my roommate's Flappy and to the right is no other than the reputable family member of the Beng. I call him ... Yin Yang Beng. Why??? Because he's balanced ... black and white. :p He ain't pretty but heck ... he has dat Beng look! I like. HAHA.
After choosing Yin Yang Beng, I brought him touring around the farm and here's one good shot when he was looking at the parrot fish.
After the touring and the shopping, we finally went to hunt for Flappy & Yin Yang Beng's food. After we have made our choice (not sure it's good or not as Flappy is not eating but Beng being Beng is pretty happy about it :p), we made payment to it. And then ... we met another "celebrity" animal!! Can you believe it? But this time, only Miss Cooking Pot has the honour to have that priceless encounter. (Honestly, I wouldn't mind to lose this honour :p) ...
What happened was, I was walking around with Miss Cooking Pot as Miss Mushroom was busy at the cashier's counter. Suddenly, one lady approached Miss Cooking Pot and said she had something on her back ... without knowing what it was, Miss Cooking Pot used all her energy to grab me and keep shouting "HELP ME HELP ME HELP ME" .... and the lady who knew what it was said "I don't want" ... Her answer apparently didn't have much calming effect on our poor Miss Cooking Pot. I wanted to help but I couldn't, I was grabbed so tight as if I'm a balloon that was going to fly away. -.-
Luckily there's one hero (which I believed is the husband of that lady) who told us that it's Mr. Se-piderman was on her body and he courageously captured it with tissue and squashed it. (Too bad I don't have any pic on this. Need to ask Miss Cooking Pot to draw it out - OI PANCI, DRAW LER). So, there you go ... the all BLACK MR. Se-piderman paid Miss Cooking Pot a visit at the fish farm. I've no idea how it gets there but ... may be because Spiderman 3 is showing and they are heavily promoting the black suit, so Mr. Black Se-piderman also wanted to do some promotion to Miss Cooking Pot. Too bad, that he ended up .... squashed -.- So much for Peter Parker's adventure.
Anyway, enough of those celebrities madness, time to showcase Flappy & Yin Yang Beng. :-)

And finally, my new toilet buddy - Yin Yang Beng! ;-) Glad to have you in our house. Yippee!

She mistakenly ate the fish food we got from the fish farm. So .... I apologize for any neck pain caused.

So we switched by using my handphone and everyone was still holding their breath and tried to only whisper to communicate but ....... -.-
Miss Cooking Pot: (Pointing at Yin Yang Beng) He's eating ... Wakakaka ... Bo Chap (Ignorant)
Me: You all wanna fight fight lar. I wanna eat.
Miss Cooking Pot: Ya lor. Haha.
Miss Mushroom: Eh don't laugh ler. I'm shaking, man, if I laugh.
Me: My Ah Beng..... I have no face anymore.
Miss Mushroom: Aiyoh, Flappy so pretty.
Me: Eat some more. Eat some more!!! Fight lah you .... Haiya ... World Peace
Miss Mushroom: Gong gong (stupid), man!
Me: Cape (tired) already lar ..
Miss Cooking Pot: Ya lar I think cape already
Me: Don't fight already lar. Peace out. Peace out, dude. Where is the love ....
Miss Cooking Pot: You said Peace out, dude. Then Flappy said Piss on you.
